Natural Built Home was founded in 2005 as a one-stop shop for the safest and most sustainable building and finishing materials. Our mission is make sustainability accessible to everyone: homeowners, contractors, architects, and designers. We started out providing products through our website, and opened our first brick and mortar showroom in Minneapolis on Earth Day in 2006.

We continue to research and seek out the best environmentally-friendly building products, focusing on factors of sustainability, recycled content, low to no toxicity and V.O.C.'s, and locally or USA made. We value quality, durability, and affordability.

Every year we bring our green building message to the masses by coordinating the interior finishes of the Eco-Experience at the Minnesota State Fair.  We also participate in the Living Green Expo and speak about green building and eco-friendly products to community organizations and businesses.  We will continue to educate and encourage the use of products that are sustainable for our planet and safe for our health. Thank you to all of our dedicated customers for your continued support!

Along with our great products, we also provide services:

  • Cabinetry installation
  • Countertop installation
  • Flooring installation
  • Design assistance
  • Information classes

Natural Built Home is proud to be a member of the U.S. Green Building Council.

These kitchen designs are trendy—and healthy for you and the planet.

Lynn Rossom spent months researching potential kitchen designs for her Lake Calhoun condo.

She searched for the right look. She searched for the right value. She searched for the right feel. She wasn’t necessarily searching for a kitchen design that used environmentally friendly materials, but that’s what she found. Her Valcucine kitchen, with its cabinets made with recycled aluminum frames and white oak that uses no formaldehyde is perfect, she says. And the fact that it’s also “green” is a bonus.

Emmet Klocker was not exactly tripping over modernist architects in the St. Cloud area when he decided to build a loft-style home for himself, his wife Nikki Ramler and their young daughter Ruby in rural Clearwater. But a friend was familiar with Geoffrey Warner, principal architect of Alchemy Architects is St. Paul, and once Klocker met Warner, it didn’t take long to get the project underway…
